My 5 Favorite Teas...It's Tea Time

I am a big tea drinker. I drink a least one cup of tea each day. The type of tea I drink depends on the weather and my mood. There is a certain etiquette to making, serving, and drinking tea, but I do none of those things.

I prefer my tea without milk, or any sweetener, but with the occasional lemon if I am slightly under the weather.

I own a beautiful tea set, and two lovely glass tea infusers that I keep at work, but honestly I can drink tea out of just about anything, so long as it is one of my favorites. While I have always enjoyed a cup of tea, my fondness has grown over the years. I graduated from Lipton bags of tea, to wonderful loose teas.

Tea Forte has become my go to tea not only because it has so many varieties of tea and flavors, but also because they are yummy and of good quality. Below you will find my five favorite teas, and I highly recommend them all. But if you are not sure what you are interested it,  then I recommend going for the Tea Forte Sampler.

My 5 Favorite Teas

Moroccan Mint Green Tea

Moroccan Mint is my go to tea on a daily basis. I start my mornings with this light, refreshing tea. This tea blends fragrant moroccan nana mint leaves and hand-rolled rare gunpowder green tea. A fresh and crisp tea that is great both hot and iced.

African Solstice Herbal Tea

African Solstice tea is absolutely delicious. Drinking this tea feels like treating yourself. It comes from the soul of South Africa, antioxidant-rich rooibos herb blended with the taste of berries, blossoms, and a wisp of sweet vanilla. It is naturally caffeine free.

Naturally Caffeine-free infusions are created using hand-harvested herbs, aromatic flowers, healthful fruits, premium spices, roots, seeds and rare botanicals. This is a relaxing, snuggle up in your favorite chair kind of tea.

Lemon Sorbet Green Tea

Lemon Sorbet green tea is perfect for a summer day, or when you are trying to soothe a sore throat. This tea is fragrant fresh citrus and sweetness of wildflower honey. It is an organic product and gives a fragrant, sweet infusion with every cup. Being a green tea, it contains antioxidants and is naturally free of caffeine too.

Green Mango Peach

Green Mango Peach is a lovely, tropical tasting green tea. The Mango peach tea is made with green tea leaves blended with cooling peppermint leaves, the heady nectar of mangos and the sweet taste of peach. This tea is refreshing and crisp, and great hot or iced.

Earl Grey

Earl Grey is a black tea, and perfect for those rainy, stay inside, cozy days. Earl Grey is often served with milk, but I drink it straight up, so to speak. Earl Grey is made with robust assam leaves with a light liquoring of cold-pressed, Italian Bergamot citrus, deeply aromatic with a bold flavor. Not for the faint of heart, Earl Grey is robust and full-bodied.

There are many health benefits to drinking tea, but I drink tea because it soothes, calms, and warms. Are you tea drinker? What's you favorite? If you are not a tea drinker, I say give some of my favorites a try.

My Scent Addiction...The 5 Bath&Body Works Scents I Am Obsessed With!

At the Beach

I don't know if there has been some type of physiological or hormonal shift in me, but lately I am all about wonderful scents all of the time. Fortunately Bath and Body Works is feeding my addiction. I get my fix in the form of lotions, candles, body washes, and plug ins.

I have no affiliation with B&B, but I love all of their products for the most part. I have some new favorites, and they have brought back some of their retired scents to love as well. There is Juniper Breeze, Cucumber Melon, and White Tea and Ginger, and my all time favorite Freesia, just to name a few of the oldies that are back.

As we head into Spring, some wonderful new scents will emerge. Now, I am a girl who is all about a clean, fresh smell. I love it on a man, and I love it in a candle. No food like smelling candles for me, like pumpkin or marshmallows. Yuck!

My 5 Favorite Scents

  • Focus - Blends of eucalyptus essential oils, and tea extract
  • Bergamot Waters - The scent blends of bergamot, pristine blue waters, and sugared citrus
  • At The Beach - Blends of frangipani, toasted coconut, and bergamot water
  • Rose Water and Ivy - The scent of soft rose petals, rain-kissed ivy, and spring musk
  • White Tea and Sage - Blends of tea, lemon, and herbs
Bergamot

Bergamot

Last year I fell in love with the scents Sweater Weather (which is seasonal), Bergamot, and Bergamot Waters. The Sweater Weather scent consists of fresh sage, juniper, eucalyptus, aromatics, and fresh woods. Sweater Weather is my favorite candle to burn. I stock up on these in fall. I am also a big fan of Bergamot. Bergamot is a french citrus that smells wonderful. Add to that sandalwood, and a blue water like clean scent, and it is heavenly.

For my body I am loving "at the Beach".  I like the body cream and bath soak. It has quite the coconut influence, with some bergamot water added. Is there any wonder I love it? So now you know all about my scent addiction. I am always fully stocked with enough products for myself, and extra for my gift closet for last minute presents. There is always someone's birthday, or teacher appreciation week, and having extra B&B on hand will save the day. And if you are a close female friend or relative in my life, you are likely to receive some  Bath & Body Works products as stocking stuffers for sure.

So what scent are you addicted to? I bet you have one. Maybe it's the smell of fresh baked cookies, or the way your love or crush smells. We all experience it at one time or another. That smell that invokes memories and feelings. Think about the smell that makes you smile.

Managing Stress...How Do You Find The Calm When Your World Is Storming?

Life can feel overwhelming at times. I am not talking or thinking about giving up in any way. But sometimes I feel almost unable to catch my breathe. I am keeping a pace right now that is probably unsustainable. Trying to find the work/life balance, and be everything to everyone is draining, and nearly impossible. Have I set myself up for failure? I think so.

I have been called Super Mom, and Super Woman by many people in my life, and I know they truly mean it as a compliment. But I cannot help but feel there is some judgment of me as a mom, as a wife, as friend, even as a woman. That's probably the problem.

I generally could care less what anyone thinks of me, except when it comes to me as a mother. I have chosen to be a working mom, but I always try to ensure that my kids do not feel they are losing out on anything they would get if I were a stay at home mom.

I rush home from work everyday to make sure dinner is cooked, and we sit down together and eat as a family. Then it's off to dance class, or swim class, or swim practice. You get my point, my kids have a lot of activities. I try to squeeze in a workout at the YMCA during their classes. Then it's home for showers, homework, and prep for the next day.

Don't get me wrong, my husband helps. Some days it's divide and conquer, as one of us goes with one child to something, while the other tackles the second one.

Plus I try to write every night, and blog a couple times a week. Unfortunately my body is starting to rebel. Migraines have been almost daily, and my insomnia is as bad as it has ever been. Add in a stressful work life, and voila instant stress ball in the neck.

I confided in a friend how stressed I was, and they were really surprised. Apparently I hide it well. Too well perhaps, which is probably not good for me. My friend did a very nice gesture to lighten my mood, and said "this too shall pass", and I know that's true. But the storm still persists, as I strive to find temporary calm.

I have found some calm with reflection on the people in my life. I have people in my life who truly love and appreciate me, and others who do not. I made the decision to remove certain people from my life who I feel do not value or appreciate me.

I also made the decision to open up more, and appreciate the wonderful people in my life. The storm still rages, but I know I can weather it.
